Lobsang Sangay (born 1968 at Darjeeling) is a Tibetan refugee, legal scholar and policy-making activist. He was select as the next Kalon Tripa (equivalent to Prime Minister) of the Tibetan Government in Exile on 26 April 2011. Sangay was an nimble member of the radical Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC), a group China designates as a terrorist organization, participating in many protests against Chinese rule in Tibet.

He started the lecture informally by telling about himself, his past and challenges of leading the movement. He grew up in a place called Lamahatta. It is between Darjeeling and Kalimpong. Its a remote Tibetan refugee camp better cognize for radish and carrots. He also said that he owed a lot to India and the Indian peoplehe grew up in a refugee camp subsidised by the Indian government. He attended Delhi University and then went to the US.
He talked about his campaigning strategy. He said that he campaigned without campaigning, win without losing and get votes without asking. He claimed that those were his ideas, if they worry them, remember them; if not then throw them away. He held that leadership is a lonely place.
He also advised us to change our thinking about big things, small things and closely importantly beautiful things. In 1963 Tibet got its own constitution. Sept. 2nd is there democracy day. Dr. Lobsang Sangay got elected on April 27th and took over on Aug. 8th 2011.
